It’s been a while since I’ve been on here writing about my life. As I’ve mentioned once or twice before, there are times in my life when I just stop writing on my blog. Usually, this happens when I’m busy and there’s a lot going on in my life. Sometimes, though, it happens when I lose inspiration or can’t focus.
I always tell myself, sit down Danielle, write, do something. I always have every intention to sit down and write. I tell myself, I’ll do it tomorrow, or maybe next week, then tomorrow comes and so does next week and I still haven’t written anything.
If you’ve been a follower of my blog for a long time, you’ll notice little patches where I’ve stopped writing, sometimes for just a few weeks, others for a few months, but the thing is, I always come back to it. Sometimes, the hardest part for me is just making myself sit down, focus, and actually write.
I always have so many things I want to discuss, but I can’t always get the thoughts out there—even now.
This post wasn’t even my initial plan for the day. I had it all figured out this morning. I was going to sit down and write a post about what I’ve been up to this summer (which I still will be doing, just after this). I sat in front of my laptop for about an hour and all I could do was make a list of the things I’d done this summer. Then my sister asked if I wanted to go watch some Brooklyn Nine Nine and I immediately said yes.
When I came back to my laptop, I put on my Raleigh Ritchie playlist and told myself I had to write something…anything really. This is the result. I had every intention to just write a sentence or two explaining away my absence and then go on to write about my summer. However, this feels like a more relevant post right now.
I know there probably aren’t a lot of people that actually take the time to read what I’m writing, but I always appreciate those of you who do. This blog has been an important part of my personal life for many years now and I don’t plan on abandoning it yet. I know I’m not always active, but I hope you don’t abandon this blog either.
Whether you’re a regular reader or a new follower, please feel free to like, comment, and engage in my posts. I love talking to you guys and reading what you have to say. If you want to recommend books, movies, etc, please do. I also added a suggestions page a little while ago in case you guys ever have anything you’d like me to write about, or again anything you think I should check out.
So, without further ado, thank you for sticking with me and happy reading my dreamers!
