The Winter Slump

Hello dreamers!  So as you’ve probably noticed, I’ve been a little MIA lately and I feel terrible about it.  I don’t know about you, but I always find myself in a bit of a slump in the winter.

Where I live, we get pretty cold, snowy winters that last for quite a while.  As someone who doesn’t participate in any winter sports or activities, I find myself hating winter more each year.  The snow and ice make getting to work difficult and causes so many accidents.  I tend to stay inside more and watch more television and movies (whoops)!

As a result, my writing has been a bit slack—for which I apologize.  Over the last few weeks, I’ve found myself sitting down to write for my blog, but ultimately never finishing any posts.  I could come up with a million excuses—working too much, watching tv too much, traveling, etc—but the point is, I’ve just not had anything to say.

I find this happens to me sometimes.  I go for months where I post consistently, and then for some reason, I stop.  I go weeks without posting.  I have great ideas and whatnot, but I just don’t post them.  So this is me, telling you, that I am going to try my hardest to write weekly again.

I’ve always loved my Top Pick Tuesdays posts, so I’m going to start those back up.  I may not continue with my Book of the Month, but I definitely will write more about the books I am reading.

I’m also going to continue to write about any trips I take this year.

If you have any ideas of things you’d like me to write about, feel free to comment below!  I love getting feedback!

So here’s to me writing more!

Thanks for sticking by me in my winter slump!
